Cannoeing tours
Canoeing on Torne River, wilderness part
We start the tour in Kurravaara and paddle along the river downstream. Around us we have wilderness and some small cottage for the local people. We follow the beach and just feel the silence and peace around us. We make a stop for lunch in the wilderness. After lunch we go further on the river. The last part before Laxforsen is little bit stream in the water. We go two persons in each canoe. The distance we paddle is 10 km and we are around 3 hours on the river and one hour lunch break. Total length on the tour, include transfer and time for equipment and instructions is around 5-6 hours. You go two persons in each canoe.

Canoeing on Torne River, Jukkasjärvi
We start the tour in Laxforsen and paddle down streams. We pas Jukkasjärvi (the village where they have the Ice hotel in winter time). We make a stop at the old wood church from year 1632. We go further to the small creek where you can try to paddle stream water. The guide make lunch and coffee at the beach over the fire. Than we paddle back to Laxforsen. The distance we paddle is 8 km and we are around 2,5 hours on the river and one hour lunch break. Total length on the tour, include transfer and time for equipment and instructions is 4-5 hours. You go two persons in each canoe.

Canoeing on Torne River, overnight tour
We start the tour in Kurravaara and paddle along the river upstream. We go close to the small creek from Vuolosjärvi. In the afternoon we arrive to our camp and you can relax in the sauna, real local life. While you have been in the sauna the guide have make a real delicious Lapland dinner for you. After dinner we have a glass of wine in front of the fire. The overnight is in wilderness suits or in the main building, two bed room. After breakfast in the morning we go further downstream along the river. Around us we have wilderness and some small cottage for the local people. We follow the beach and just feel the silence and peace around us. When we arrive to the island Lehtisaari the guide makes lunch and coffee over the open fire. The last part down to Laxforsen is little bit streaming. The distance we paddle is 15-20 km. We start after lunch time and are back in Kiruna around 14:00 the next day. You go two persons in each canoe. All equipment, transfers and food is included in the price.
